Block Paved Driveway in Gunthorpe

The Project

Our customers wanted to increase the parking at their property in Gunthorpe and contacted us to measure up for block paving in charcoal blocks.

What we did

The area was excavated to 300mm and all waste materials responsibly disposed of.

The entire area was hardcore’d and whackered down both up/down and left/right for a good solid base.

Blocks were then laid on a sand base and the area finished with Kiln dried sand.

The entire install area was then whackered again in both directions. Total install just two days.

Block Paving Driveway Installed in Werrington

The Project

Our customer had a block paved driveway which had sunk and looked very aged and tired.

They wanted to extend the drive to make room for extra parking for their daughter and to improve the slab pathway to the rear garden.

What we did

We lifted the old drive which had very little hardcore upon excavation which would have contributed to it sinking.

We installed 200mm of hardcore and whackered the entire area in two directions to make sure the base was as solid as possible. The driveway was extended to the right as you look at the building to make space for another vehicle and we also extended slightly to the right to the customers boundary line.

The old slab pathway was lifted and the block paving continued in a nice design to the rear of the property.

Total install time was 4 days and the customer loves the final result.
